A eulogy to Indian Women

Today i was reading the news about how a very inspiring Indian woman named laxmi filed for a annulment in India. Arranged marriages doesn't only occur in India, but it happens worldwide. As we all know, these are very old practices of people that is still happening especially to those who live in the poorer side of the country. I feel sad when I hear news about children being wed to other children or to even Senior citizens. It angers me thinking how cruel these men are, do they have no morals? did they forget that once in their life they came from a woman as well? They may think that through this they are somewhat helping other families, but to be clear. Your being a rapist, with just the Legal papers!! That is why when I read the news today I was extremely thrilled to read about Laxmi, on how courageous she was to go against her parents, her in-laws and also the whole population of the Indian community who were against her. Correct me if I'm wrong, it has been said that if a woman was unwed she may be prone to being raped or molested by a group of men. Does this mean that if you do not get married something terrible could happen to you? but at the same time if you do wed, there may also be instances that your in-laws could abuse you? Such a confusing situation aye? But despite everything, I just want to clear the air. I truly can say that not all Indians are alike, I'm sure most or everyone of you would have met an Indian once in your life, and their not all the same! I for one grew up with a awesome Indian girl, plus her parents are crazily awesome as well. I remember her mum preparing dinner for us girls and we would sit at the dining table like a family and talk about our plans for our future. (Happy days! Just saying) And for the record, Have you ever met an Indian who has an average mental intelligence? because for some reason all that I've met are amazingly intelligent! It's true, they are known to be one of the smartest people. (Again, Just saying).

To get on with it (Yes, i was abit sidetrack for a bit) Iwanted to dedicate this post to Indian fashion, to the Modern day Woman.

Khaleesi

I've recently  been following the Game of Thrones for the past month, and asides from the scenes of Sex/Slavery/treachery/dragons  and the sorts. I was quite drawn to the fashion that the women had worn at that era. I for one would have loved to wear clothes which dint include wearing a bra. Yes, I sometimes hate being objected to wearing such ill tight carrying boobies. But at the same time it would be a very distracting image to society with nipple sticking out of their shirts. So maybe it isnt such a bad invention too. Of all characters asides from aria because she always seems so brave. My second favorite woman in the this very interesting HBO show would be khaleesi. (I actually miss her with her barbaric husband, sad he had to die) but i just wanted to say i love her white chiffon maxi dress in the beginning, not the one when she first met her husband, im talking about the dress when her brother touched her. boobie. (Still trying to look for a still image from the show, will post it once i find it)

Anyways, While watching I remembered Herve leger- BCGB Max azria summer collection 2012. It somewhat has the same idea on the pattern and design which i swear when i die i need to be wearing one of these in my coffin. Cross my heart!!

I love the tribal yet warrior look that these has going on and the crazy body hugging which Herve Leger is known for.

Some looks from their show, I wish I could post every photo taken but im sure most of you would have seen these already.
weee!!!! I found these from this blog herve-leger-by-max-azria-spring-2012-ny Whoever owns this blog, i am so thankful for you to post all of them in just these two photos. I love!!

Chiffon/ Lace and a free Chalk

This is quite, actually very overdue! Sorry! I've just been super busy with things and yes, this is gonna be 'another' short one.

My nephew just recently graduated from High School, and he was so cute that the only thing he requested from me as a graduation gift was to treat him to MoonLeaf's Wintermelon Milktea. Ofcourse i said yes because it was such a simple request. While ordering for them, i saw that there were stacks and stacks of Chalk Magazine placed on the side of the cashier lady and asked her if those were for sale, but surprisingly they were giving it away! Ofcourse i took one, who wouldn't want a free magazine right?
